Rocky has left a comment on Stars' Real Names - Part 2.

 

JJ Cale's name is John W. Cale. There never was a Jean Jacques Cale. That bogus name was made up by a French newspaper writer who got drunk and was thrown out of the venue before he got to interview Cale. He went back to his hotel room and made up a bunch of shit out of his head, including that name. I'm Cale's pianist, Rocky Frisco. Cale tells the real story of the nickname "JJ" in our Tour Video from Time/Life: "To Tulsa and Back."
